Hynix Semiconductor Inc

Hynix Semiconductor makes dynamic random access memory (DRAM) and synchronous dynamic random access memory (SDRAM) computer chips. Hynix still makes DRAMs and other memory chips, but has spun off or sold many other businesses to avoid sinking under the weight of its huge debt. The company changed its name from Hyundai Electronics Industries (HEI) in 2001 as it separated itself from South Korean conglomerate Hyundai Group.
